Fall is here. There’s a pile of pumpkins and hay bales in preparation for our Employee Fall Festival at the office. If I was always the” glass half full” person, I’d say I do like Hot Chocolate, Fireplaces, Fuzzy socks, and Pumpkin Spice lattes. But instead, the leaves are changing and no matter how beautiful the trees are; it always makes me sad for the end of summer. I’m a Spring/Summer kinda gal…once the leaves start falling, I know I have to go through Fall and Winter before my favorite seasons come around again. It’s probably the reason for the funk I’ve been in this week. But…I do like the word “through”. It’s a word without an end date but with a Purpose; and that’s something I can wrap my soul around; a word that fills me with Hope. Through. Not stuck forever.
What’s happening in your life you have to go through? I know Fall and Winter are nothing to the multitude of horrific seasons others are going through…divorce, illness, children in trouble. There can seem to be no end date at times…but wrap yourself today in the word “through”. Find a glimmer of Hope in your soul today. God will see you through.
Isaiah 40:28-31 “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
